Terms of Service
Last updated 19 July 2026
The agreement between you and PitchSide when you use the platform, book a session, or list as a coach.
1. Who we are and what PitchSide does
PitchSide is an online marketplace that connects players and parents/guardians with independent 1-to-1 football coaches in the United Kingdom. PitchSide is not a coaching provider: sessions are delivered by independent coaches, and the coaching contract for each session is between you and the coach.
These terms apply to everyone who creates an account. Additional coach-specific terms in section 6 apply to coaches.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be 18 or over to create an account. Under-18s cannot hold accounts: sessions for a child are booked, paid for and managed by the child's parent or legal guardian, who is the account holder.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information on your account.
3. Booking and payment
Bookings are pay-first: you pay when you request a session, before the coach has confirmed. The coach then has 24 hours to confirm or decline. If the coach declines, or does not respond within that window, you are refunded in full.
Sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe; PitchSide never sees or stores your card details.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation rights and the refund process are set out in our Cancellation & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Reviews and acceptable use
You may only review a session you actually booked and attended. Reviews must be honest and lawful.
You must not misuse the platform: no unlawful, abusive or discriminatory content or behaviour; no attempting to take bookings or payment off-platform to avoid these terms; no interfering with the operation or security of the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
6. Coach terms
Coaches are independent contractors, not employees or agents of PitchSide. Coaches list on a paid subscription and PitchSide deducts a platform fee of 15% from each completed session; the remainder is owed to the coach and paid out as set out in the coach dashboard.
Coaches must hold the qualifications and checks they claim, keep them current, and must be approved by PitchSide before appearing in search. PitchSide may remove a coach's listing at its discretion, including for safeguarding concerns, misconduct, or breach of these terms.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Because the coaching contract is between you and the coach, PitchSide is not responsible for the delivery or quality of a session, though we operate approval, review and dispute processes to keep standards high. Our total liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to the amounts you have paid through it in the previous 12 months.
8. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified and you may be asked to re-accept the new version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Questions about these terms: contact us via the details on our website.
