Safeguarding Policy

How NLFT vets coaches and handles safety concerns.

1. Our commitment

NLFT is designed so that safety is structural, not an afterthought: coaches are vetted before they can be found, players stay in control of every booking, and the platform holds as little personal information as possible.

Sessions are currently for adult players (18+) only — coaching for under-18s is not yet offered through the platform. If it is introduced, a full children's safeguarding framework will be put in place first, and this policy will be replaced.

2. How the platform protects players

  • Every coach is reviewed and approved by our team before appearing in search.
  • Coach identity is verified before a coach can be found or booked; qualifications and DBS checks are individually verified credentials with expiry tracking.
  • The platform asks you not to include sensitive details in booking notes, and coaches see only what a session needs.
  • Reviews and a report-a-problem flow give players a direct route to flag concerns, which administrators triage.

3. Staying safe at sessions

NLFT vets coaches, but sensible precautions still apply, as with any private coaching: meet at the agreed public venue, and never share more personal information with a coach than the session needs.

4. Reporting a concern

If you have a safety concern about a coach or a session, report it through the report-a-problem flow on the booking, or contact us directly — concerns are reviewed as a priority and a coach can be removed from the platform while a concern is investigated.

If anyone is at immediate risk, call 999.
